Business Ethics, for the greater good.

The purpose of the Ethics in Finance (EiF) Project is to help prepare students for a career in finance in which they aspire to the highest standards of ethical conduct for the greater good of society. Universities have expressed a strong need for business ethics content, particularly in courses in finance and quantitative finance/risk management. To address this need, the EiF Project (a joint initiative of the CFA Society Seattle, faculty of Pacific Northwest universities, and CFA Institute) has developed ethics curriculum content for use in teaching ethics to students in diverse fields of finance.

The Project provides:

  • Valuable course materials developed for EiF and contributed by ethics professors and finance professionals, used in their own university and professional education classes.

  • A core four-module curriculum providing the basis for a finance ethics course

  • Additional course materials such as case studies

  • Links to other ethics education resources

  • A community of academic and practicing finance professionals sharing teaching resources and ideas
